Austria Sport Betting Regulators, Address and Contact

Austria Sport Betting: sport betting in Austria is not regulated by the Bundesministerium fur Finanzien – Federal Ministry of Finance-BMF but by the Federal State of Austria and their regional law. Unlike the casino and lottery gaming sector, the sport betting is not monopolize, so any organization or body can apply for and get the sport betting license so far it is able to meet the requirements of the state from which they are applying for the license.

For each of the state of Austria the following bodies license and regulates sport betting but it is important to note here that each of the state has it own sport betting governing laws.

Austria Bookmaker Association (Der Osterreichische Buchmacherverband) is the only know body that brings the Austria bookmaker under one umbrella. The association was formed in 1994 with the aim to represent and protect the interest of the entire stakeholder in sport betting. Their member provide betting service to the Austrian both offline and online.
