In South Africa today, there are about 36 legally operated casinos. As many as they are, they are all own and operated by just three companies. Before now, casino in South Africa are owned by four companies, there used to be among the owners, London Club International and Northern Cape Casino Consultant. London Club Internation casino property in South Africa is taken over by Caesars Entertaimemnt International and nothing is no more held about Northern Cape Casino Consultant.

Sun International own about one third of the total number of casinos in South Africa. Their casinos are located in some major towns and cities of the country. Notable among their many casinos are:
