Chris Stearns was Re-appointed as Gambling Commisioner

Mr Chris Stearns, a reputable attorney had been re-appointed as the Gambling Commissioner of Washington State Gambling Commission.

The re-appoinment which was made by Gov. Jay Inslee of Washington State May 2015 took effective immediately and it wll end comes 30th, June 2015. It would be recalled that Mr. Chris was first appointed as a commissioner on May 2013 to fill the vacant post after a commissioner left the post early.

In his acceptance address Mr Stearns said, ”It is a true priviledge to continue serving as a commissioner. Gambling continue to be a hot topic and I look forward to following the evolving technology that goes along with gambling”.

Mr. Chris was formerly chair of the gambling commission, a post he ascended by a unanimously vote of his fellow commisioner.

Mr. Chris Stearns is from Navajo Nation, an attorney of repute specializing in India law. Prior to his appointment as a commissioner, he was a counsel to the US House Committee on Natural Resources for four years.
He was a director at US Department of Energy. He was the first man to so occupy the post.

He serves two terms as Chairman of the Seattle Human Right Commission. He is also VP of Board of Directors of the Seattle India Health Board.

He graduated from Williams College and Cornell Law School.
